LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A number of plumbers were busy Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 7, dealing with frozen pipes and concerns at homes and businesses in Kentuckiana.

Rocky's on the river in Jeffersonville says their soda and water lines were frozen. They had bottles of water on hand and went out to get two-liter sodas to serve their customers. The kitchen and bar were open as usual; other businesses though with frozen pipes had to close!

It also appears that Tinseltown movie theaters in Springhurst had some issues. They say the sprinkler system leaked, due to cold temperatures, and led to some flooding.

The Louisville Water Company has its hands full with water main breaks--several of them--in this cold weather.

Brownsboro Road near Haldeman Avenue was shut down early Tuesday morning, Jan. 7, because of a break there.

The water company says it has had nine water main breaks, two have been fixed and crews hope to have the rest fixed by Tuesday evening.

Those breaks affected businesses around the viewing area and traffic, causing detours.

The Muhammad Ali Center told us it had to close for the day because of a water main break in its area.
