CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – A new high school is under construction in Clarksville and the enrollment process is scheduled to begin.

The Renaissance Academy is located at the old Value City location on Eastern Boulevard.

The school is part of the national New Tech Network education model.

Renaissance Academy is scheduled to open in August with a class of 100 freshmen and each year, a new class will be added.

Students who live outside the Clarksville Community School Corporations are eligible to apply.

"We know we're going to accept the first 75 right on the spot and then from 76 and thereafter they'll go into a lottery and from that point we'll determine those who will be able to enroll after the initial 75. We can get up to 100,” Brian Allred, Renaissance Academy Director said.
