(WHAS11) -- Clark County detectives and the family of 19-year-old Ethan Bennett are asking for help in locating him. Bennett has been missing since September 11. He left his Sellersburg home in a silver 2001 Jaguar while his parents were out of town. He told a family member he was going out for a bit, but never came back.

"Ethan is very social and he has a lot of friends and that's part of what disturbs me is that he hasn't had any contact with them from what I can tell," said his father, Tony Bennett.

His parents said he left without his cellphone and doesn't have a way to support himself.

"For this individual to come up missing and just be gone for a week with no contact, it's alarming," said Detective Randy Burton.

The plate number on the Jaguar is RJU784. Officers said the case is not considered criminal. Anyone with information is asked to call their office at 812-246-6996.
