JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – Changes to have come to Clark County’s drug court weeks after a WHAS11 I-Team investigation revealed problems.

The drug court was recently suspended after some defendants filed a lawsuit claiming they were kept in jail months longer than their sentence.

All cases have now been transferred to Clark County Circuit Court 4.

“We will have to get a drug court temporarily certified here in this court so that we can appropriately supervise these cases until either these people graduate or get sent to prison,” prosecutor Jeremy Mull said.

Two drug court employees are accused of arresting drug court defendants when they lacked arresting powers.

The director of the drug court was fired and the bailiff is still suspended without pay.
