LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Louisville city officials are asking everyone to refrain from "lighting up" at metro parks swimming pools and 10 area playgrounds and spraygrounds.

Smoking is technically legal in those areas, but the city said a survey revealed that 81% of residents supported a no smoking policy in parks.

A federal grant paid for new signs to be posted.
