LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Churchill Downs has announced their security plans for the 140th Run for the Roses on the first Saturday in May.

The list of do’s and don’ts is similar to that of last year’s policy, after the Boston Marathon bombings one year ago.

All coolers are still banned and no purses or bags measuring more than 12 inches are allowed. All cans and glass bottles are prohibited from the Downs.

Pop up tents will not be allowed and there is also a ban on laptops, cameras with detachable lenses and camcorders.

Churchill Downs is asking those coming during Oaks and Derby to be aware of their surroundings and tell security if you see something suspicious.
