LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Children in the Kentuckiana area has already began going back to school and the Archdiocese of Louisville hosted an event to ensure they’re prepared.
The “Stuff the Bus” event collects donated school supplies which are sorted based on grade level and is passed out during the Archdiocese’s Back to School fair.
The organization hopes to help more than 500 children with school supplies.
"Pencils, backpacks, rulers, markers, paper, folders, just things that we as adults tend to take for granted but are essential for the success of a child's school year," Chris Burt of the Archdiocese of Louisville said.
If you missed the event held Friday, you can drop off your donations at the Catholic Enrichment Center at 32nd Street and Broadway.
