JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A Southern Indiana treatment center for vulnerable children is facing a civil lawsuit over a case of sexual abuse.

The case against Childplace was filed on behalf of a 14-year-old boy who had a physical relationship with an adult female staff member.

Megan Ralston faced criminal charges in this case.

She pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor in May and she no longer works at Childplace.

The lawsuit alleges Childplace knew about the abuse, but didn't do anything about it
