SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Firefighters are investigating after a home in Simpsonville went up in flames overnight.

The fire broke out just before 1 a.m. at a home on the 2200 block of Antioch Road.

The homeowner said one of his children smelled smoke and alerted the family - all of which escaped the home safely.

Firefighters said they don't believe the cause of the blaze to be suspicious and they are working to determine what sparked the fire.
