LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Court is now in session at Central High School.

The school cut the ribbon on its new courtroom for students Tuesday morning.

It’s close to a replica of courtrooms that are use throughout the state, complete with a judge’s bench, witness stand and jury box.

Law and government magnet students go to Central and they get help with curriculum from students and faculty at the University of Louisville’s Brandeis School of Law.

Central says the new courtroom will give magnet students authentic court experiences every day.
