Bullitt County teacher indicted on sodomy charges

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Bullitt County Grand Jury has indicted substitute teacher Suzanne Bickers, 33, of Shepherdsville.

On Tuesday, April 16, an investigation was initiated after allegations of an inappropriate student/teacher relationship were made to Bullitt Central High School. School administrators contacted the Shepherdsville Police Department and removed Bickers from the classroom. Detectives conducted a month-long investigation and presented their case to a Grand Jury on May 16. 
 
Bickers has been indicted for one count of 3rd degree sodomy and two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, also a 3rd degree offense.
 
According to court documents, Bickers and a male student had sexual relations in October of 2013, and in March of 2014, she is accused of buying the boy and his friend alcohol.
 
Bullitt County Schools became aware of the situation after text messages between Bickers and the boy surfaced.
