LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)—Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear will sign a bill that will allow the expansion of Louisville’s downtown convention center.
The plan consist of re-configuring the building and space that already exists.
Through the expansion there will be an additional 25,00-30,000 square feet available for use.
The President of the Convention and Visitors Bureau Karen Williams said that within the next 30 to 60 days they will have a final timeline and get the green light for a groundbreaking date.
Williams said the expansion will allow for more clients.
It was last renovated back in 2000.
