LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Families from across Kentuckiana gathered on the Ohio River to celebrate a day special to fathers.
The Belle of Louisville hosted their annual Father’s Day lunch cruise featuring music, food and a tour of the historic steamboat.
“We were here about three years ago and we always said we'd come back and can't pass up this beautiful day so my wife surprised me and brought everybody out for the cruise today,” dad Chris Cowan said.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Belle of Louisville, the oldest operating river steamboat in the country.
The Belle of Louisville offers cruises on Sundays.
