PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Bell County sheriff's deputies have charged a teacher at a county school with supplying drugs to students.
Officers arrested 45-year-old Dwight O. King at school on Tuesday, charging him with drug trafficking and trafficking within 1,000 yards of a school.
King teaches at the Bell County Day Treatment and Recovery Center, which is a school system-owned facility for troubled students.
WYMT-TV reported King declined the station's request for comment.
Bell County Sheriff Bruce Bennett said the allegations of a teacher selling drugs to students are "as bad as it can get."
School superintendent Yvonne Gilliam cited the ongoing investigation in declining comment.
King was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday and was held in lieu of $500,000 cash bond.
