LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Bardstown Police officer is under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
Officer Tony Satterly is on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.
The mayor of Bardstown confirmed the investigation and said it will not impact current cases Satterly may have been working on.
Kentucky State Police also confirmed the investigation but wouldn’t say what it pertains to. The narcotics enforcement department is reviewing the case.
Satterly has been with the Bardstown Police Department for more than 10 years and was the Officer of the Year in 2009.
“This is an isolated incident and it's being investigated. I am not at liberty to confirm or deny anything that you have heard,” Bill Sheckles, the mayor of Bardstown, said. “It's an ongoing investigation. When the investigation is complete then we'll address it at that particular time.”
