INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Indiana University Health is limiting water use at two of its hospitals after water samples at the hospitals tested positive for the bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease

Patients at University Hospital and the Simon Cancer Center can only drink bottled water and cannot bathe or shower with tap water due to the risk of contracting the potentially deadly disease.

The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/1kmnbQE ) IU Health officials went room to room Thursday at the two hospitals explaining the decision to limit patients' water consumption. Many patients have compromised immune systems and are susceptible to Legionnaire's disease.

IU Health officials announced earlier this week that two University Hospital patients tested positive within the past month for Legionnaire's disease and died.

Both those patients had compromised immune systems.
