JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Police in Southern Indiana are called to a serious accident on Highway 62 near the new Amazon Fulfillment Center.

Police said at least one person suffered injuries.

This accident raises concerns about increased traffic flow on Hwy. 62 near the new facility.

Jeffersonville's mayor, Mike Moore, addressed concerns Wednesday over traffic around the new Amazon warehouse.

Police will be upping their presence around the warehouse off of Hwy. 62. Two new traffic lights are up, and the turn lanes off 62 have been lengthened. Driver's can expect to see more changes as traffic increases.

Right now Amazon has employees working in two shifts, 7:30am and 3:30pm. For each shift there will be between 600 and 800 employees. Drivers will also see more trucks on the road. Amazon alone will account for 300-500 trucks.
