LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A new exhibit offering a unique perspective on art opened this weekend at Creative Diversity Studio on South Ewing Avenue.

The collection of work is called “In Our Eyes” and showcases art made by people with disabilities.

The 25 artists who contributed to the exhibit also have the chance to sell their works.

Artist Billy Cogswell described what it meant to be able to express himself in this art form.

“Feels great. I like doing it. I come two days a week. I’d like to come more often so I can come throughout the year,” he said.

"I've seen so many people come out of their shells by picking up a pencil. It's amazing," Bronwen Harris, the executive director of Creative Diversity Studios said.

The exhibition is on display through March 15.

It’s open from Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or by appointment.
