LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- On Monday night, the Arrow Fund flew in a badly injured dog from Hazard, Kentucky.

The three-year-old chihuahua mix had surgery to amputate her back right leg.

The Arrow Fund was told the dog was caught in a fence for 10 days and her owners failed to treat her injuries.

The dog has been named Queenie after the sweet dog in Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory."

The Arrow Fund has seen several new cases of animal cruelty recently and is asking for donations to help care for the injured animals.
