LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – More than 350 chefs, students and food service professionals from 13 states are in Louisville to learn the latest cooking trends.

They’re here for the American Culinary Federation’s conference at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

Chefs are getting tips on how to cook with Kentucky bourbon, baking with gluten-free products and information on childhood nutrition.

“They’ll be going to nutritional classes that teach them the latest trends in nutrition. They’ll be doing stuff on international cuisine, sausage making, pickling, just anything chef you can think of,” Jeff Bacon, president of ACF Southeast Regional Conference said.

Famed Louisville chef Dean Corbett gave the keynote address.

The conference wraps up on Monday.
