LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Man Up, the organization aimed with deterring violence in the community, walked the neighborhoods near 31st and Broadway Monday evening to get answers on a recent crime where a woman was shot.

The group wants to find the person responsible for robbing and shooting a grandmother who was pushing her grandchild in a stroller.

The victim was getting off a TARC bus when police say the suspect followed her for a block then stealing her purse and shooting her.

She was treated and released from University Hospital.

Man Up works to encourage residents to work together, start a block watch and put an end to senseless crimes and violence plaguing parts of west Louisville.

If you have any information on the July shooting, call Metro Police at 574-LMPD.
