LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- More than 500 young swimmers were on hand over the weekend to compete in the Country Club Swim Championships.
Qualifications kicked of Saturday and the races were Sunday.
The annual event rotates locations, this year it was held at Hurstbourne Country Club, and each team picks a theme. this year's themes ranged from Harry Potter to Christmas in July.
"I love it because you get to race people who are kind of the same speed as you. It's especially fun when you get to race against your friends and win," competitor Elle Herzig said.
The championships cap a six week summer swim season.
