(WHAS 11) – Oldham County Police have confirmed that two young teens have died in an early morning crash.
Saturday morning at around 3:18 a.m., the Oldham County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle driving without its head lights turned on. The vehicle did not stop and continued on at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle hit a parked car and electric pole in the 4300 block of KY146. The driver, Michael Tanner Wheat, 15, was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger, Autumn Marie Foree, 14, was transported to University Hospital and later pronounced dead around 9 a.m.
The accident and cause of death are still under investigation.
