LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Nearly 5 miles on I-65 Southbound will be closed all weekend.
It's a repeat of what happened in the opposite direction last weekend. Drivers say they are ready for the construction to be finished.
"I'm ready for this to be over with, because I travel this every day," says Craig Jacobs.
All the exit and entrance ramps starting at mile marker 136 until the Watterson Expressway closed at 7 p.m. on Friday and will not reopen until Monday at 5 a.m. Road crews will be putting down new asphalt during that time.
Gerald Tucker says, "They got all these detours and it's a waste of gas, and it's taking away money I'm making to pay my bills."
Several drivers say the detours are getting old and are adding to their frustration.
Detours for this closure will take you westbound to I-64 to I-264, which connects to I-65 southbound.
