4 people suffer life threatening injuries in Carroll Co. crash

Carrollton, Ky. (WHAS11)—Four people are injured in a two vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Highway 36 in Carroll Co.

Troopers responded to the crash after it was called into dispatch at 11:36 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the vehicle driven by 50-year-old Donald Jefferies, from Goshen, was traveling east when the vehicle crossed the center line for unknown reasons.

Jefferies' vehicle collided head-on with a vehicle of Stephen Wise, 37 of Carrollton.

Jefferies was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ambulance to Carroll Co. Memorial Hospital, where he was flown to University of Cincinnati Hospital.

Wise was flown to University of Louisville Hospital.

The two passengers in Wise’s vehicle, Nicole Wise, 34, and a juvenile, were also flown to hospitals. Nicole Wise was flown to University of Louisville Hospital and the juvenile was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

The injuries to all four involved in the crash are considered life threatening.
