HOUSTON –  The 18-year-old brother was the shooter in the apparent murder-suicide that left three siblings dead Tuesday inside a Fort Bend County home, Stafford police said.

The victims’ mother called 911 screaming after finding the bodies Tuesday around 1:59 p.m. When police arrived at the house located in the 13300 block of Venice Circle, they found three of the woman’s four children dead inside.

The victims were identified as 23-year-old Faheem Ahmed Mughal and 15-year-old girl Rebecca Mughal.  Police identified the shooter as 18-year-old Fahad Mughal.

Police said the house was in disarray and that the incident started with some type of argument. All three of the siblings were discovered in separate rooms and a gun was found near one of the brothers.  Stafford Police Lt. James Leedom said an AR-15 rifle was the weapon used in the shootings and that shots were fired at close range.

Leedom said multiple weapons were removed from the home, including a rifle, a shotgun and pistol.

The motive for the shootings was unknown other than the fact that it was “an argument that went bad,” he said.
