CLEARWATER BEACH, Florida —The Memorial Day holiday came to a halt for many after three shooting incidents on Clearwater Beach.

The first shooting reportedly happened outside of the Hyatt Regency after two groups of people allegedly got into a verbal argument.
One group was in the temporary parking lot north of 2nd Street. Another group was near the corner of Coronado and 2nd Street. Police say a fight broke out and someone fired a gun. Shortly after that, someone allegedly shot from a floor of the Hyatt parking garage down to the temporary parking lot.
A third incident happened a little while later on South Gulfview Boulevard.
Police say they have recovered multiple firearms.
Access to the beach was briefly cut off during the investigation, but the bridges have since reopened.
One person reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and fled the scene. Another person was shot in the groin and was taken to a local hospital.
Police say they are going to local businesses to make sure all is clear.
