HOUSTON -- Firefighters were called to a southwest Houston home two times just a few hours apart overnight.
The first fire was reported around 8 p.m. Sunday in the 7900 block of Fawn Terrace. Houston firefighters extinguished a small fire and then left the scene.
Around 1 a.m., however, a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the home again and scrambled to alert the residents to wake up.
No injuries were reported, but the second fire consumed the home’s interior.
Firefighters took a hose through a neighboring home to keep the blaze from spreading.
Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
