LOUISVILLE, Ky. (News Release) — Two blocks of Strawberry Lane from Rochester Avenue to Allmond Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25 to 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 28.
The closure is necessary for cranes to lift bridge support beams to support the elevated roadway being built over the railroad tracks to connect the Airport Industrial Center to Louisville International Airport.
Construction of Phase I of the Relocation of Crittenden Drive Project began in summer 2011 and is scheduled to be finished in mid-August 2012.
The relocation of the roadway will allow the airport to accommodate Group VI aircraft—the largest and newest long-range commercial aircraft.
