2 arrested in connection with Clarksville food mart robbery

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Police in Clarksville have arrested two men they said are responsible for a convenience store robbery.

According to a news release, 22-year-old Brett L. Walker entered the Save-A-Step on S. Clark Blvd. Oct. 19 showed a weapon to the clerk and demanded money.  

Police said after Walker had the cash in hand he left the store and got into an old police car driven by 20-year-old Tyrone S. David.

A search of the getaway car's license plate turned up a Jeffersonville address, police said, and both suspects were taken into custody.

Walker is charged with armed robbery and intimidation with a weapon. David is charged with armed robbery.
