HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Any anchor will tell you “don’t mess with our teleprompter!”
Most on-air personalities typically know what’s coming up on the prompter, unless it’s breaking news – or something as sweet as what happened to an anchor in Alabama.
A Fox affiliate in Huntsville was on the air when the anchor was asked to read “breaking news.” The woman started reading this line: “FOX 54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed to on live TV right now…” and that’s when she realized what was going on.
The woman’s boyfriend stepped in from off-camera and proposed to her on the air. Of course she said yes.
