WINDSOR, Va.  -- A man is behind bars Thursday morning after being accused of trying to kill a man who was filling up at a gas station on West Windsor Blvd in Windsor, Va.

Police said Pernell Randolph, Jr. intentionally rammed his SUV into Kyle Francis' pick-up truck while Francis was getting gas.

The impact sent the truck about 55 feet and into the base of a sign.

Francis wasn't hurt, but during the investigation, a piece of the sign fell and hit a police officer in the leg.

Police said Pernell and Francis do not know each other, and they are not sure why he hit the truck.
