SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a San Antonio man shot himself and his girlfriend in the leg after scrambling for his gun because he thought he heard an intruder in his house.
Officers said the startled man was laying in bed with his girlfriend when he though he heard an intruder and quickly grabbed his gun.
The gun accidentally fired, police said, sending a bullet though the man's leg and also striking his girlfriend in the leg.
Both the man and woman were taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.
Police said there was no sign of an intruder.
