LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- All counties across KYTC's District 5, which includes Jefferson County, have snow and ice on the roads as of 10:00 a.m. Monday.  A KYTC official says with temperatures as low as they are, the salt and calcium chloride are less effective and will take longer to melt the snow.

Below are road condition updates. The descriptions are general.  If a county says 'completely covered' that means the majority of roads are covered, but not every single roadway is.

Bullitt – 20 degrees, partly covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Franklin – 16 degrees, partly covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Henry – 11 degrees, mostly covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Jefferson – 17 degrees, mostly covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Oldham – 15 degrees, partly covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Shelby – 16 degrees, completely covered roads, crews salting and plowing

Spencer – 19 degrees, completely covered roads, crews plowing

Trimble – 16 degrees, partly covered roads, crews salting and plowing
