LOUISVILLE - As consumer madness makes it's way toward Louisville this coming weekend, one group urges shoppers to buy local.
The Louisville Independent Business Alliance, or LIBA, highlights local businesses and makes a point to tell holiday shoppers not to overlook the shops and services in our own backyard this winter.
Akin to the nationwide craze that is Black Friday, local businesses have their own version in the form of "Small Business Saturday", which takes place on Saturday, Nov. 29.
LIBA boasts a collection of hundreds of businesses, ranging from coffee shops and restaurants to boutiques.
