App of the Week: Thrive

The Thrive app helps its users set boundaries for themselves so they can reduce their phone use.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Are you addicted to your phone but want to break your bad habit?

The Thrive app helps its users set boundaries for themselves so they can reduce their phone use.

Users can block apps, notifications, calls and texts for a specified amount of time, so whether you’re driving, stepping into a meeting or just need some downtime, you can be sure you won’t be distracted.

The app also enables you to put certain contacts on a VIP list, so you can still be reached by the people that need you most. Others will receive an automatic reply so they know you’re not ignoring them.

If you want to curate your phone habits further, the Thrive app allows you to set goals and limits for specific apps. Once you’ve reached those limits, your access to those individual apps will be restricted until the next day.

The Thrive app also provides you with a readout of your phone use, so you can see where you’re spending the most time and decide where you need to cut back.

In our fast-paced world it’s easy to become glued to your phone, but if you’re looking to take a step back, check out the Thrive app today.

The Thrive app is available on Android devices.
