NCAA reverses ruling on Williams’ cooperation in escort scandal investigation

The committee now says Brandon Williams cooperated as much as possible with the NCAA investigation.

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- The NCAA's Infractions Appeals Committee has reversed a decision which said former UofL basketball assistant Brandon Williams did not cooperate with the NCAA's escort scandal investigation.

The Appeals Committee now says Williams did cooperate as much as possible.

The committee said the phone records Williams refused to hand over did not belong to him and were not his to give.

The committee says Williams will no longer face a one-year show-cause penalty, meaning this punishment won't follow Williams to his next job.
