A teenage track star has died after she used too much anti-inflammatory muscle cream.

A New York City medical examiner says 17-year-old Arielle Newman died after her body absorbed high levels of the chemical methyl salicylate, which is used in creams like Bengay and Icy Hot.

Newman reportedly used the cream on her legs at events, along with heating pads and a third product that contained a similar chemical.
