The next time you drop a glass plate, don't throw it out! Turn it into art by making a mosaic. I've been doing mosaic craft projects for years and we thought they're so much fun, why not show it off again? Check this out:

Supplies:

An old frame

Hammer

Grout

Putty Knife

Pottery

Directions:

If you don't have broken pottery, you can certainly put on some goggles and smash your own with a hammer. Simply place the plate or glass in a pillowcase (to keep it from flying around) and smash away. If you do have shattered pieces, all you really need to do is glue them in place on your frame then fill in with grout.

You can use the mosaic plaster which is found at craft stores too. The whole concept is super easy, just glue and cover, that's it. When you're done, you will have repurposed grandma's old platter into a whole new & loveable creation.

Enjoy! ;)
