LunchInABox.net has a practical solution for leftover green onions. After they are patted dry, just slice and place inside a water bottle using a funnel. Be sure to label the bottle and it's good for 3 weeks. Great for stir frys, rice, soups and burger patties.
I LOVE this. I do the same things with peppers, onions, etc. Since I'm only cooking for myself, I cut everything up and freeze it so it doesn't go bad. Love the idea of using a water bottle!
