Want to add a bit of YUM to your Christmas morning? Check out Thuy's tutorial and make your own easy Peppermint Donut Cake Pops:

Today I am sharing with you an easy and fun breakfast idea for the kids on Christmas morning, Peppermint Donut Pops! We all know anything on a stick is always fun and my version is festive and easy.

Supplies:

Store brought donuts

Red Wilton Candy Melts (You can use any type of almond bark as well, I wanted to get festive)

Candy Canes

Festive Paper Straws (I got mine at Michael’s)

First, you will need to take your candy canes, unwrapped, place them in a Ziploc bag and crush them and place them in a bowl.  Melting the candy melts is next; I simply follow the directions on the back of the package.

Then I took my store brought donuts, dipped them in the chocolate halfway and then dipped them in the crushed peppermint. I laid my covered donuts on a sheet of wax paper and after I dipped them all, I used the paper straws and placed the donuts on them.  I am sure it will make your Christmas morning extra special.

Happy Holidays!
