It's time for the Black Friday of Back to School shopping! Yep, it's that kinda crazy, folks. I know everyone gets excited about tax-free and that's completely understandable except, the reality is, that's like an 8% sale and most of us deal finders won't get off the couch for anything less than 40% so you've got to keep it all in perspective.

In saying that, the tax free aspect is a great starting off point BUT if you really want to save, you'll have combine that great deal with a few other ones as well.

{3 Ways to MAXIMIZE Your Savings During Tax Free Weekend}

1. Printable Coupons: Duh. Head over to our Tax Free Weekend Printable Coupon Roundup and print your coupons before you head out to the store. Also, be sure to check out your favorite stores on Facebook or twitter too. Many stores are putting up their coupons via social media like this $10 off $50 coupon for Old Navy.

2. Shop Store Promos: Be sure to check out the store promotions before you go. Kohls, for example, is offering a printable 20% off store coupon PLUS, for every $50 you spend, you'll get $10 back in Kohl's cash. Now that is a GREAT deal especially when you combine that with tax free savings.

3. Plan Smart: Be sure to plan around the store sales, coupons and promotions first and don't try to hit every store in the city. If you do that, you'll be worn out and grumpy which is no good for anyone. Also, know what is included in the tax free sale and what is not. This varies by state (for Oklahoma, please click here). Also, be sure to stock up if you do see a great deal. For example, this is the best time of year to purchase school uniforms so I buy enough for the entire year to get the best deal.

Tax Free Weekend can rock your wallet (in a good way) when you get strategic and combine it with other promotions, sales and coupons. That's the whole idea behind everything I teach, to combine as many savings methods as possible to get that retail price down as low as it can go. Are you heading out for Tax Free Weekend? If so, be sure to post some pics on our Facebook page and let us know how it goes!
