Buying in bulk ordinarily speaking at stores like Sam's will likely not land you awesome savings. However, there are stores that offer discounts for bulk purchases. Amazon.com is great about offering discounts while still buying in bulk. Another great store to consider is Whole Foods.

This example was true a little while ago and it illustrates the point perfectly.  Whole Foods offers a 10% discount when you purchase a 'case' of any item. If you look at the price tag on the shelf, you'll find a number below the price such as a 6, 12 or 24. In this situation, the number was a 12. That means, I had to buy 12 Rice Dream milks to make a case and get the 10% discount. But, let's not stop there....

Rice Dream Rice Milk $2.79

-$1/1 Whole Foods Store Coupon (From the Whole Deal Newsletter at the front of the store. It is NOT in this month's newsletter, you'll have to wait for this one to come around again.)

-$1/1 Rice Dream Man. Coupon from TastetheDream.com (When it is available, you can print 2 per computer. I have 4 computers myself plus I asked family and friends to print it too.)

=.79 EACH

I bought 12 cartons of rice milk which is $9.48 then after the 10% discount, it is only $8.53 for 12 cartons of rice milk. That would have cost me $33.48 regularly. Talk about HUGE savings! I realize you can't get this deal today but I wanted to show it so you can see how the different avenues of savings can really add up. That 10% case discount may not seem like much but when you add sales and coupons to the mix, it is a steal!

If you don't have access to 6 computers, be sure to call your family and friends and see if they will print the coupon for you. You'll notice by the example above though that even if you only had a few of the coupons, you would still have a great deal.

NOTE: The Tulsa and OKC Whole Foods stores do allow 'stacking' of store coupons and manufacturers coupons. If you do not live in this area, check your store policy first.
