The Partnership for Prescription Assistance national bus tour pulled into Kentuckiana Friday afternoon.
Amid high unemployment, many people have lost their health insurance benefits, which means a much higher bill for prescription medications.
But pharmaceutical companies have programs that offer low cost or even free prescription medications for those who qualify.
For more information, you can call 1-888-4-PPA-NOW to talk to a trained operator. Or, you can log on to www.pparx.org. The PPA says it takes 10 to 15 minutes to find out if someone may qualify for free or discounted medications.
