Unsilent Night returns to Louisville Dec. 16

Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Kentucky Center and other businesses will host the first Unsilent Night Event in Louisville since 2014.

 

Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night is a free, outdoor event, open to individuals of all ages. For 45 minutes, the crowd creates a sound sculpture by simultaneously playing one of four tracks on mobile devices. This broadcasts through a swarm of speakers carried throughout the streets.

 

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on December 16 on the front steps of The Kentucky Center (501 W. Main St.).

 

Participants will need to bring portable speakers to the event to connect to their phones, tablets or other mobile devices on which they will play the music. Here’s how you access the tracks:
