This is what Starbucks' Christmas tree Frappuccino tastes like

(USAToday) - Move over, eggnog.  There's a new drinkable holiday tradition.

Starbucks launched the Christmas Tree Frappuccino on Thursday. The strange concoction is the latest in the coffee chain's line of limited-edition frappuccinos.

Now before you balk at the Christmas Tree Frappuccino and start having flashbacks to the questionable Unicorn Frappuccino, take a look at the ingredients.

The drink is actually a Peppermint Mocha Crème Frappuccino topped with matcha whipped cream styled to look like a Christmas tree, and decorated with caramel drizzle, candied cranberries and a strawberry.

On social media, people shared photos of the Christmas Tree Frappuccino and also questioned why Starbucks released the "insane" drink.

But if you want a taste of this holiday blend, you need to move fast. The drink will only be available through Monday at participating stores.

Made with whole milk, a grande has 420 calories and 21 grams of fat.

It also makes me wonder, after this and the Zombie Frappuccino, what kind of frappuccino they'll roll out for the New Year. The Champagne Frappuccino, maybe? Even better, how about the Broken Resolution Frappuccino? Now that sounds like the drink for me.
