Created as result of the kidnapping and murder of a seven year old little girl, and developed with the assistance of law enforcement, KinderVision® is dedicated to the protection of children from those who would harm them. TheKinderVision® program was first offered in June of 1991 and continues to be available to families as a free community service all across the country.

KinderVision® is an educational program available in English and Spanish which disseminates valuable safety information to families in video form. The KinderVision® video contains a special message narrated by law enforcement which provides critical safety information for the protection of children. It is designed to be used as an ongoing educational resource within the home for parents to teach their children how to be safe when they are not with them. It enables parents to periodically instruct their children on circumstances to avoid and to reinforce ways to protect their children from harm in a relaxed family setting. Through the use of child actors and the KinderVision® mascot KindiBear, the educational segment demonstrates safety techniques and presents information in such a way that small children can easily understand.
