Teen allegedly sexually abused by neighbor is allegedly abused again at treatment center

(WHAS11) - It’s a family’s night mare after their teenage daughter allegedly suffered months of sexual abuse at the hands of a neighbor. They sent her to a Radcliff treatment center for help.
But they say, what happened there victimized the girl all over again.
The story centers around an alleged strip search and fondling incident the teenage victim says took place in May at the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health Center in Radcliff.
And WHAS11 News just learned from the State Cabinet for Health and Family Services that the center may have violated state law by not immediately reporting it.
For months, an Owensboro family says a man sexually violated their daughter in just about every way imaginable.
While he waited in jail to stand trial on charges of rape, sodomy and a dozen other felony acts, the 15-year old victim went to Lincoln Trail Behavioral Heath Center to try to recover.
But the girl says eight months of recovery disappeared in a matter of seconds when she says she was strip searched by a staff member after returning from an approved outing.
“She was making me take off my clothes. And she rubbed certain areas,” she says.
Eventually, the girl says word got out about the alleged touching.
The teen said the day that she first spoke about the alleged touching she found out that seven or eight other people had reported the same thing.
The girl’s mother says she was called Mother’s Day morning by a counselor at Lincoln Trail. She was told that her daughter, along with some other girls had been sexually assaulted by a staff member.
The girl’s family rushed to bring her back from Lincoln Trail immediately.
In a written statement, the center says the employee in question has been suspended, as Radcliff police and the Hardin County prosecutor consider charges.
Lincoln trail behavioral health system did issue a statement to whas-11 news.
“Since the day of the alleged incident, the management and staff of lincoln trail behavioral health system have cooperated fully with all the authorities concerned with this investigation and will continue to do so .”
