Group to meet, discuss closing of Otter Creek Park
07:58 AM EST on Monday, January 5, 2009
(WHAS11)—An organizational meeting is set for tonight for a group trying to save Otter Creek Park from city budget cuts.
The Meade County park has drawn more than one hundred thousand visitors each year, but the mayor says closing it will save Louisville taxpayers about $500,000 each year.
The park closed New Year’s Day.
If you want to attend the save Otter Creek Park group is holding their meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Southwest Government Center on Dixie Highway.
