Hikes Point Post Office renamed to honor country's fallen heroes
08:28 PM EDT on Thursday, July 3, 2008
It’s now called the Fallen Heroes Post Office in honor of those who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Thursday morning, the former Hikes Point Post Office was dedicated, in honor of Louisville service members who have lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Family members of those who lost their lives in were at Thursday’s ceremony, and felt overwhelmingly honored for their sons who would do anything for their country.
The Hikes Point Post Office has been in service on Hunsinger Lane since 1987.
